A new orchestral work composed by Chris Fordham and released under The Silent Committee moniker.
The 1st track, Occam II, is a complete movement of music centred primarily around piano and viola but also features a wider orchestral pallette than on previous works, introducing percussive and wind elements into the mixture.
As with Chris’s previous orchestral release, restrictions of access/funding to musicians means the majority of instrumentation is midi based, excluding some live elements of viola, piano and bowed bass played by Chris himself.
Occam III is an experiment in orchestral ambience – long drawn notes that interweave and create moments of peace and discomfort in equal measure.
